The Kentucky Malt Beverage Council (KMBC) represents the family owned Anheuser-Busch wholesale beer distributors in Kentucky.  Our wholesalers directly employ nearly 1,000 Kentuckians. We make a major impact on the state economy through our purchase and operation of trucks, warehouses, computers, and many other capital items.
The KMBC is a critical link in the three-tier system. Wholesalers buy products from the brewers, store it, sell it and deliver it to all licensed retailers.This system has evolved over the years with three principle goals: 

  • To protect the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of Kentucky,
  • To foster vigorous and healthy inter-brand competition within the industry, and
  • To provide an orderly system of accountability, control, and tax collection within the industry.
